Floods in Germany, the Netherlands, Nigeria and other countries, heat waves in the USA and Canada followed by a tornado, forest fires, forest dieback, Famines never greater than now …
The climate crisis is causing the weather to go crazy and is leading people and nature from one catastrophe to the next.
Are politics and economy responsible for it? Yes, certainly! But not alone! If something is to change, we all have a duty. Each of us must do something! Because our prosperity and wealth are far from being the most important thing in the world!
A ton of possibilities
For example, we can try to avoid unnecessary car trips. Or air travel only for fun, or to participate in a cruise. Trash prevention is an important factor, or not sprinkling lawns in the greatest heat of the summer.
We should try to live without the consumption of meat or animal products in general, or at least reduce it and not buy it at the discount store.
You can try not to throw even more money down the throats of large corporations and generally buy less abroad but locally.
And last but not least, we are the ones (at least in the Western World and many other democratic countries) who vote for politicians and parties, that care for the nature. We can do a lot to protect the environment and animals, simply by putting our cross in the appropriate place.
And, and, and … there is SO much you can do and what may seem like a sacrifice at first will be a gain in the end!
Everyone can do their part
None of us does everything right. But each of us can strive step by step to do more and more right.
If each of us makes only a small contribution, much is already gained! So that you and me can hope for a healthy and green tomorrow again.
